Junior Vera Cox won a playoff hole to move on from sectionals to districts.

XENIA — Greenville junior Vera Cox will move on to the Division I Southwest Girls Golf District Tournament after winning a playoff hole against two other golfers. She birdied the first playoff hole to win and move on. The sectional tournament took place at WGC Golf Course on Sept. 26.

As a team, Greenville took 13th with a score of 404. Cox shot an 84 to make it to districts. Senior Callee Moore ends her Greenville career with a 98. Junior Taylor Trissel and Reese Addington both shot a 111 and sophomore Kennedy Schoen had a 122.

The district tournament will take place on Oct. 8 at PipeStone Golf Club.
