DAYTON — Women in Business Networking (WiBN), a program of the Better Business Bureau, will be hosting its third annual WiBN Cares initiative in December. WiBN Cares is all about holiday spirit, networking and giving back.

The next event will be Tuesday, Dec. 3, registration at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at 11:45 a.m. The program will be from noon – 1 p.m. at the NCR Country Club, 4435 Dogwood Trl., Kettering. The cost is $25 for WiBN Members and BBB Accredited Businesses/Charities, $35 for others. To register, call (937) 610-2270.

Participating in this event will help three local organizations, which all have dynamic women who have been recognized as 2023 or 2024 WiBN Women To Watch.

* Culture Works – $5 of each registration will go towards continuing to strengthen our community’s creative spirit through grantmaking, education, outreach and advocacy. Culture Works is the funding, advocacy and service organization that passionately inspires, supports and sustains arts and culture in the Dayton Region.

* Violence Free Futures – Attendees are encouraged to bring items to support the organization’s mission, which is to end family, domestic and sexual violence and its impact in Greene County through prevention, intervention, collaborative community programs and safe housing. Attendees are encouraged to donate items to support the organization, such as soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies (e.g., oven and glass cleaner, disinfectants, kitchen cleanser, dish detergent) and rubber/latex gloves,

* Dayton VA Medical Center – This hospital provides primary care and specialty health services to Veterans, their families and caregivers. During the event, attendees will use their time and talent to create encouraging notes for the organization’s patients.

It’s all about networking and philanthropy. It’s a great time to come and check out WiBN, whether invited by a member or you just join us on your own to meet other local professionals. Throughout the event, attendees will expand their footprint as they network with others. Bring lots of business cards to share as you make new connections or reignite old ones.

Sheri Sword, WiBN’s executive director, says, “This is one of my favorite events of the year. We are fortunate as an organization to be able to give back to the community where we live, work, play and volunteer. We expect a full house at this event as we work together to make a difference in the company of likeminded women.”
