GREENVILLE — The Franklin Monroe Local School District will be auctioning off miscellaneous items at Kirby Lyons Auctioneers, 100 Integrity Place, Greenville. The auction will take place Saturday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m., with doors opening at 8 a.m.

Arcanum BoE meeting

ARCANUM — The Arcanum-Butler Local Board of Education will hold its regular board of education meeting on Thursday, Oct. 10, 7 p.m., in the Board of Education Office.

Greenville Trick or Treat

GREENVILLE — Trick or Treat in the City of Greenville will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27. Your cooperation is appreciated in keeping with this time frame. Parents or guardians are encouraged to accompany children during this time; and are also advised to thoroughly inspect all the children’s candy received (for possible tampering) before consuming. If possible, turn on a porch light to indicate your residence will welcome the little “ghosts & goblins” during these hours.

FM Boe meeting

PITSBURG — The Franklin Monroe Board of Education will hold a regular meeting in the Music Room (D111) at 8591 Oakes Road on Wednesday, Oct. 16. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Class of 1966 luncheon

GREENVILLE — The Greenville High School Class of 1966 is having its monthly luncheon at Sloopy’s (Russ Road) on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 12:30 p.m. They meet the second Thursday of each month. Greenville Safety Committee

GREENVILLE — Greenville City Council’s Safety Committee will meet on Monday, Oct. 7, 6 p.m., in Council Chambers, Municipal Building. The committee, consisting of Chairman Greg White, Vice Chairman Leon Rogers and Member Clarence Godwin, will discuss installing a four-way stop at the intersection of Fourth and Grant Streets and removing the No Parking signs.

Tree Commission meeting

GREENVILLE — The Tree Commission for the City of Greenville will be meeting for their regularly scheduled quarterly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1 p.m., in the Planning & Zoning Conference Room of the Municipal Building, 100 Public Square, Greenville.

Ag Breakfast

GREENVILLE — An Ag Breakfast will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, 8 a.m., at Jack’s Cabin Restaurant, Greenville. The featured speaker will be Bruce Burke, director of engineering, Darke Rural Electric, who will present a program on Renewable and Solar Energy, including those available through Rural Electric. There is an all-you-can-eat breakfast with cost of $5 at the door, with free coffee and donuts.
