Happy Birthday Earlene Morris! This lady is like the Energizer Bunny, she just keeps going and going! Earlene celebrated her 104th birthday on October 5th. She has lived in and around the Arcanum-Gordon area most of her life. She is now living with son, Gene and his wife, Nelda Morris.

She is a very happy, healthy lady. She recently won the prize for being the oldest fairgoer at the Darke County Fair in August.

Healthy Cooking classes will be held at the APL for 10 weeks on Thursdays from 1 to 2 p.m. Classes began on September 12th and run to November 14th; you can still attend. There will be a variety of topics, and food will be prepared and tasted at each class. Insta-pot and Air fryer recipes will also be featured. Call the library at 937-692-8484 or drop in to add your name to the list to ensure they have adequate supplies for all participants. Patrons can sign up for individual classes, or for multiple classes.

Correction: On the Red Cross Quilt, it was quoted in my column that funds came from the Darke County Endowment Foundation to help preserve the quilt and get it ready for display; the correct group that honored APL with a grant was the Darke County Endowment for the Arts.
