Singles Dance is Oct. 26

GREENVILLE — The Greenville VFW is now sponsoring the Darke County Singles Dances. The next dance is on Saturday, Oct. 26. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the dance is from 8-11 p.m. There is a $9 cover charge. The band will be Cotton. Additional food will be available and there is a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and instant tickets. Come enjoy a fun evening of dancing. All are welcome, singles or couples. You must be 21 years of age. Greenville Twp. meeting changed

GREENVILLE — Due to a scheduling conflict, the Nov. 8 meeting of the Greenville Township Board of Trustees will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 a.m. at the Township Building located at 5366 State Route 571 East, Greenville. The meeting is open to the public.

Washington Elementary Reunion

GREENVILLE — Washington Elementary School will hold a Friends and Family Reunion on Nov. 3, 2-4 p.m. at Washington Elementary School, Wagner Road, Greenville. Bring old pictures from school days.

Call to artists

TIPP CITY — Call to Artists! A Holiday Affair will be held at the Tipp Center (855 N. 3rd St.) on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in conjunction with A Winter’s Yuletide Gathering weekend in Tipp City. Area artists and crafters are invited to participate but need to act now as there are only a few booth spaces available. Pot Pie Supper

ARCANUM — The Painter Creek congregation invites you to their annual Pot Pie Supper on Nov. 9. Serving will be from 4-6 p.m. or until they are sold out. The menu is chicken or beef pot pie, mashed potatoes, green beans or corn, applesauce or cole slaw, homemade pie and drink. Everything is made fresh in their church kitchen. The cost is a freewill donation that will be used to make improvements to the church and for the outreach program of the Women’s Fellowship. They are located at the corner of State Route 571 and Gettysburg-Pitsburg Road.
