ANSONIA — On Oct. 25, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Darke County Sheriff Deputies, along with Ansonia Fire, Ansonia Rescue and Union City Rescue were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 49 and State Route 47 in reference to an accident with injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed a White 2018 Ford Escape driven by April Foster, 29, of Dayton was traveling north on State Route 49 at State Route 47. Ms. Foster failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign traveling into the pathway of a Gray 2023 Kia Carnival driven by Emily Bubeck, 31, of Ansonia, that was traveling west on State Route 47. Ms. Foster and her front seat passenger Stephanie Young, 44, of Dayton, along with four juveniles were transported to Wayne ER by Ansonia Rescue and Union City Rescue. Ms. Bubeck and a juvenile passenger were treated and released at the scene.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office
